About Our Curriculum
Preschool Curriculum
Peppermint Junction's Preschool curriculum promotes social, cognitive, emotional, creative and physical growth in children. It is our goal to provide a developmentally appropriate environment that is safe and nurturing. Our curriculum is theme based with learning opportunities integrated into all areas of the curriculum.
Recent brain research has emphasized the critical importance of the first 5 years that will help determine your child's ability to learn and future success in school. Our outstanding staff has been selected for their
educational background and personal qualities of warmth and sensitivity. They are a key factor in helping your child learn the necessary skills for future school success. Many of our staff has been with us 8 years or more which helps provide consistency and security for our families.
We offer a year round program with a choice of half day or full day programs.
Teachers plan each week using specific goals to plan their activities in the following areas:
- Language Development
- Math and Science
- Critical Thinking
- Social Skills • Music
- Arts and Crafts
- Physical and Outside Activities
- Readiness Skills
- Listening and Following Directions
Elementary Academy Curriculum
We offer a full day Kindergarten and 1st /2nd Grades with the option of before and after school care.
Our program is academic and teaches to the California State Educational Standards. The curriculum is theme based with learning opportunities in Math, Reading, Science, Phonics, Music, Computer Skills, Creative Writing, Life & Problem Solving Skills and Social Studies.
Our children wear uniforms and we require that parents are our partners in helping us maintain high academic and behavior standards.
