PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS
All of our programs are designed to promote social, cognitive, emotional, creative and physical growth. We also stress character development and life skills that will allow children to have future school success.
2-Year Old
2-3 year olds (non-potty trained)
Our 2-3 year old program is a self contained full time only classroom that helps young children learn the social and communication skills necessary to be successful learners in Preschool. We offer a balance of nurturing, learning and playtime in an individualized environment. We will help you and your child with potty training when your child is ready and when needed. Our goal is to have regular and open communication with parents and to keep you informed about your child’s day.
Preschool
3-5 year olds
We offer either ½ or full day classes for children ages 3-5.
Our academic program is planned to prepare children for future school success, and includes a literacy program, phonics, math and science skills, music, arts and crafts.
Our classrooms are age divided with academic learning centers so that your child will have many interesting learning choices each day.
KinderKamp Summer Program
5-6 years
This is a 10 week summer program that reviews skills learned in preschool and gives each child a great start in Kindergarten.
Kinderkanmp is an intensive Kindergarten readiness camp every morning (9-12 noon) to give each child, entering Kindergarten this fall, an intensive review of the academic and social skills needed for a successful Kindergarten year Research shows that children can forget up to 40% of concepts learned over the summer vacation time so our Kinderkamp is very important . We will also be working on the independence skills that your child will need when entering Kindergarten such as riding the bus or walking to school, remembering homework, taking care of their own lunches and personal belongings. Our goal is for every child to enter Kindergarten well prepared for new challenges. This year the children in Rooms 3, 5, and 6 will be going on a field trip by bus…we are hoping it will be to the Santa Barbara Zoo and are waiting for confirmation from the Zoo.
Summer Camp
2-5 years
Each summer we offer a 10 week summer theme science camp with lots of fun activities, arts and crafts, outside play and science exploration. This camp runs in co-ordination with the Kinder Kamp if your child is entering Kindergarten in the fall.
This year our summer camp theme is Buggy Buggy Bugs. We will have lots of indoor and outdoor fun with science, arts and crafts, music, movement and readiness activities. Children will learn about BUGS, their names, life cycles, characteristics and lots of interesting facts. We will have walking field trips, water play, lunch picnics, soccer and baseball, arts and crafts, jolly jumpers, family activities and a summer end Science Fair.
Summer school starts June 20th through August 19th. Our prices for our programs can be found on our registration form. Registration fee is $50.00 for summer only.

Children who stay past our 2:30 school dismissal will be enrolled in our After School Program. This program provides arts and crafts, outside games, homework time and special projects.
Summer Bridging Camp
During the 10 weeks of summer we offer a bridging camp to help children review skills learned and prepare for the next grade they will be entering in the Fall.
Summer Camp starts June 13 and ends August 19th. The theme of this year’s camp is BUGGY, BUGGY, BUGS! We will be learning all about Bugs all summer long and co-ordinate it with our BRIDGING CAMP, which is a comprehensive review of all the concepts studied and learned during the past school year. The BRIDGING CAMP is a great way to help children retain and build on knowledge learned. Research show that children can forget up to 40% of what they learned in school with a 2 to 3 month layoff from school during the summer.
In addition to the BUGGY, BUGGY, BUG CAMP/BRIDGING CAMP, we have included some really fun FIELD TRIPS this summer. Transportation to these FIELD TRIPS will be by chartered bus, except for the 1st one to Gull Wings Children’s Museum. For this trip we will take the city bus. For some of these FIELD TRIPS there will be a $10 extra charge due the week of the trip.
Academy Camp prices is $130.00 per week, no registration fee for summer only.
Children must be regularly enrolled in the Academy Summer Camp to be eligible for the field trips. If you need summer camp for less than the entire summer, please speak to Jason.
